The CGL offers coverage
in the USA, its territories and possessions,
Puerto Rico, and Canada. Travel and transportation
between these areas are covered, too.
Goods and services are
covered if:
• The goods or
services were made or sold in the covered territory,
or
• Problems result from an insured based
in covered territory, but is elsewhere on business
for a short time.
Worldwide coverage for personal and advertising
injury is included automatically in CGL. Coverage
for all Internet activity can also be added.
To make a CGL claim,
you must bring a lawsuit in the policy territory.
Or the insurance company must make a voluntary
settlement. Worldwide territorial coverage may
also be added to a CGL.
Note.
you'll see how close the Business Auto coverage
territory is to CGL. Remember, when you understand
one liability policy, others will be similar.
