This is a complex
question. We'll keep it pretty basic here.
The primary insured's
are the named insured's set out in the policy
declarations. This could include you and your
spouse, a partnership, joint venture, limited
liability corporation, or other organization.
Members of these organizations-executive officers,
directors, and stockholders-are insured's only
for incidents related to their business duties.
Employees, including leased workers and volunteers,
are insured's for actions related to business.
Temporary workers are not insured's; they will
not be defended by a CGL. Your firm will be
defended regardless.
Note.
The first named insured has particular responsibilities
related to communication with the insurance
company.
