Jim grew up and attended school in Eaton. Upon returning from college, he worked for a local insurance agency before starting his own independent insurance agency in 1985. The challenge of starting a business from scratch has been a valuable experience.
Jim is active in various community organizations such as the Preble County Chamber of Commerce, Board Chairman for the Preble County YMCA, and Eaton Lions Club just to name a few.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, and teaching his grandkids how to eat bugs.
